Charity Winter Angel

I know, it's almost February and I'm still making Christmas cards - it's weird right??? That being said, I've always felt it best to "go with the creative flow" and since I've felt like making Christmas cards recently, that's what I've done. I did try to make a few Valentine's Day cards this week but nothing turned out the way I wanted - I'll guess I'll be posting those cards sometime in March or April (lol).

In any case, this image is from High Hopes Rubber Stamps and I coloured her using my SU markers. I used my SU ticket corner punch and also stuck some crystals on the corners for a little bling. The DP was a fantastic find at one of the local Dollarama stores - a package of 25 sheets for $1 - WOW, right?? I decided the card still needed a little something so I paper pierced around the edges and was pleasantly impressed with the end result.

Surfafella

I made this card today using the "Surfafella" image from Stamping Bella. The sketch is Julee Tilman's from Poetic Artistry and is part of her Mojo Monday sketch challenges. This sketch is #62 and is NOT this week's sketch, but it fit what I was doing so, what the heck (lol).

Julee has a fantastic blog and just recently started a seperate blog for her Mojo Monday challenges as it has become so popular, (congrats Julee)! She also sells her very own line of rubber stamps through her online store Verve Visual - if you haven't checked out any of her stuff, I highly recommend you do so.

Now, back to the card, (lol) - I coloured Surfafella with my SU markers and used my new SU scallop border punch to make the top and bottom pieces. The sentiment was created using my SU "Riveting" set and was punched using 2 of my SU circle punches. Thank you to Julie from Paper Pleasing Ideas for sharing with me which 2 punches I needed for this set.

Summer By The Sea

Have you ever made a card that you were just absolutely, positively, thrilled with?? Well, this was THAT card for me. I made this card last week using my SU "Summer By The Sea" set and coloured the image with my new SU watercolor pencils. The sketch is #30 from TECC (Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge). All the CS is from Stampin' Up and the DP was a wicked find from Kent; they are currently selling all their stamping/scrapbooking supplies at 50% off as they will no longer be carrying them - thanks to Denise for the tip (lol).

Milton's Fresh Pine

Here's yet another Christmas card I made this past week. I decided to stamp out a bunch of my High Hopes Rubber Stamps images in the hope that I would find the time to color them and turn them into beautiful cards, (lol).

I coloured Milton using my SU markers and then CASED the sketch from Kimmie at Kraftin' Kimmie's Korner. All in all, it's another fairly simple card but I've discovered, sometimes those are the best ones!!

Charlotte Singing

You know, it's pretty sad when you end up posting more Christmas cards after Christmas - (lol)! In any case, this card was CASED (again) from Kimmie at Kraftin' Kimmie's Korner. It was a simple card that I really liked and I just happened to have the same image she used. Thanks for the inspiration Kimmie.

3 Pane Santa

Although Christmas is technically over, I find myself finishing cards I didn't have a chance to complete for Christmas 2008. I guess having a newborn around will do that to you, (lol)!! In any case, I made this card using High Hopes "3 Pane Santa" that I stamped out from my friend Denise some time ago. I absolutely LOVE this image and was so jealous when she told me she had it; I really think I might have to buy it for myself.

All in all, this card is pretty basic. I coloured the image using my SU markers and then used a blue gellyroll pen to colour the sky. The sentiment is from my SU set "Flakey Friends" and is one of my favorites. I found the ribbon on sale at Michael's and, of course, just had to have it.

Flowahbella

This is yet another card I CASED from Kimmie while in my creative funk a week or so back. I am awaiting both a Stampin' Up and a High Hopes order and am hopeful that these will help restore my own creativity. In the meantime, this is all I have.

I used my flowahbella from Stamping Bella and coloured her using my SU markers. These have been my favorite since I bought them but I was a lucky girl this Christmas and received a few Copics from my DH. Although I haven't tried them yet, I imagine they are going to be pretty wonderful. I used my cuttlebug/bloomdots folder and some flowered DP and then added a pretty flower for good measure. When it was all said and done, I didn't like it nearly as much as I thought I would, (lol). Don't you hate when that happens???

Happy New Year!!

I received these beautiful cards in the mail this week. The first is from my friend Ila and it contained a handful of stamped Magnolia images; how excited was I!!! Thank you so much Ila - you are a sweetheart.

This card is from Diane and was for December's Aloha RAK. It also contained a number of goodies for me that I can't wait to play with.
