Hallowwen 2008

I thought I would share some pictures from the Mommy & Baby exercise class I attend. I thought everyone looked so adorable and honestly, how often do you have this many babies all dressed up together:) Kiah was dressed as a butterfly courtesy of her Auntie Michelle who kindly made her costume for her; her cousin Cori, was dressed up as an owl.

Magnolia - Girl In Reeds

Here's another card I made before I went away to Maine a few weeks ago. I bought all kinds of new crafty toys while on vacation and irony of ironies, haven't set foot in my craftroom since I got back (lol)!! Once again, this beautiful Magnolia image was sent to me by Ila, from Artfully Ila, whose blog I definately recommend you check out!

Magnolia - Girl With Flowers

Here's another card using the fabulous images that my friend Ila, from Artfully Ila, sent me. Ila is an amazing artist and I highly recomend you check out her blog!

This card is fairly simple in all but I was quite happy with my color combination and layout. I was especially excited because I came up with it all by my lonesome, which is something I have difficulty with. I generally need something to draw inspiration from in order to get started but this one all came from me, (YEAH - lol)!!

3 3/4 X 3 3/4 Notecards & Box

So, I made this notecard box and the cards that go with them before I left for Maine and just didn't get around to posting them. That being said, I DID NOT come up with this idea and/or template. However, for the life of me, I can't remember where I found it; it was on someone's blog and I apologize for not writing it down. If you recognize this as your own, let me know and I will give you the proper credit.

I made a total of 6 sets and used paper from a Glitterstack I bought at Michael's for the DP. I personalized them by adding the initials of the person I was giving them to and used my MARVY jumbo circle and MEGA scalloped circle to make them a little fancier. The handles are made from the piece of paper that was leftover when I cut the CS required for the box. I attached them using a gemstone brad that I found at the Dollarama (25 for $1 - what a steal)!!

These are the cards that are inside the box. There are 10 in total, 2 of each of the following: happy birthday, best wishes, especially for you, thinking of you & thank you. All the sentiments are from Stamping Bella. I decided not to include envelopes for 2 reasons: a) the wouldn't fit in the box (lol) and b) I figured they could be attached to or put into a gift bag in which case they weren't entirely needed. I added score lines to fancy up the cards and imagine that it would be 10 times easier now that I have a Scor-Pal, those lines took forever using my Fiskars cutter).

Aloha RAK Club

Just a quick post to say a HUGE thank you to Melssa Schabel from What Do You (Th)Ink who sent me this gorgeous card along with an envelope full of goodies. We are partners for the Aloha RAK Club for October which is now being organized by Tracy Houghton. This is the first time I've signed up for anything since having the munchkin, and ironically enough, my RAK is late due to me being on vacation (lol)!

Speaking of our vacation, Kiah exceeded all expectations and did fabulously on the trip down and back (it's a 10 hour car ride and she slept the majority of the way in both dircetions which certainly made driving easier for Mom & Dad). Everyone was so excited to see her and she was in a great mood for the 10 days we were there. We had 2 long days of shopping, but she was a trooper. Guess we'll be going to visit Grandma again (lol)!

On Vacation

Just letting everyone know we are taking the munchkin to Maine to visit the Weaver side of her family. We will be gone for up to 2 weeks so you probably won't be hearing from me for awhile. Take care and I'll chat with everyone when I get back.
