Magnolia - Girl With Flower

This is the last of a set of Magnolia images I coloured and made into cards a week or so ago. Ila, from Artfully Ila, kindly sent me a ton of Magnolia images that I am slowly working my way through. As I have never used these images before, I drew inspiration from Kimmie, at Kraftin' Kimmie's Korner, so I could get the hang of coloring them.

All the embellishments I used on this card are from the Dollarama. It is amazing what great deals you can find there although I've noticed that you do have to stock up when you see something beceause it can be gone just as quickly (lol)!

Tagged & An Award

Both Lynn at The Queen's Scene & Trina from Trina's Timeless Treasures have tagged me. Thanks ladies, you are too sweet!!

The rules to this game of tag are...

1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog.
3. Tag 7 people by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

Since I have done this game several times already and because my brain is mush due to having a newborn baby in the house, I am skipping the "7 Facts About Myself". However, Trina has also honoured me with this "sweet" award.

There are so many wonderful blogs out there that it is always hard to pick who to pass these award on to but here are my choices:

* Jovita from Inky Impressions
* Julie from Mutch To Stamp
* Sue from Susie Sunshine
* Lynn from The Queen's Scene
* Tracey from Tracey's Happy Place
* Ila from Artfully Ila
* Nancy from Nancy's Creative Mess

Please go and check out all of these blogs if you have the time as they are all fantastic!!

Dunno Ducky

Here's a card I made earlier this week when I wanted to play with my new Scor-Pal. The image is from High Hopes and is one of my favorites. I coloured him using my SU markers which, at the moment, is still my favorite way to color things (lol). The image also has a cute saying that goes with it, "Waddle I Do Without You" which I used on the inside of my card. I found the tutorial for making the lattice background on Splitcoaststampers. The beautiful flower in the corner is from the Dollarama; you get 40 different flowers in the package, plus gemstone brads for the center, all for a dollar!!

Magnolia - Baking Cookies

This is yet another image that the wonderfu; Ila, from Artfully Ila, sent me. I colored Tilda using my SU markers and CASED a similar card by Kimmie, from Kraftin' Kimmie's Korner, to make mine.

Bookwormabella

I made this card for my Aunt whose birthday is at the end of the month and chose the Bookwormabella image because she loves to read. I also got to play with my new Scor-Pal as I used it to make the background piece. I CASED the card layout from Gina K, whose blog, A Day In The Life is absolutely fabulous!!

Magnolia - Baby Girl

Here is another Magnolia card using one of the images that Ila, from Artfully Ila, sent me. I CASED the card in almost its entirty from Kimmie, at Kraftin' Kimmie's Korner . Both of these ladies are amazing artists when it comes to cardmaking and they have absolutely fantastic blogs. If you haven't done so already, I highly recommend you check them out.

All the paper I used for this card came from my "scrap buckets". I used my SU markers to color my image and found those gorgeous bauble accents at the local Dollarama. Too bad I managed to put them on crooked (lol)!!

Scor-Pal

So, I got a new toy in the mail a few days ago and cannot wait to play with it! I've tried it once just to see if it was really as easy as everyone says and discovered that it really is!! I am absolutely in love with my Scor-Pal already and spent a good portion of yesterday scourging the internet trying to find cool projects I could make with it. I would already highly recommend this tool to anyone and encourage you to check out Diana Crick's Scor-Pal website when you get a chance.

Magnolia Birthday

I absolutely love Magnolia images but quickly discovered that I was unable to buy them anywhere in Atlantic Canada. Lucky for me, my truly amazing friend Ila, from Artfully Ila, had a bunch of them and offered to send me some images to play with, (some images turned out to be over 30 of them)!!

So, I finally got around to coloring a few of these wonderful images and am now trying to make them into cards. Here is the first one I finished.

*Paper: Purple, pink, turquoise & orange (Michael's)
*DP: Glitterstack (Michael's)
*Accents: Fabric flower with brad (Dollarama), white grosgrain ribbon (Walmart)
*Accessories/Tools: SU markers & photo corners punch
